So the mask is reusable? How many times can I reuse it?
The SOLA Guardian is made using high quality polymers and elastomers that should provide years or service if cared for properly.
Is this a medically certified device?

Yes, the materials used for the skirt and filter casing of the Sola Guardian are FDA approved.
How do you wash the mask?
Remove the filter media from your mask and wash in hot water (40°C to 50°C / 104°F to 122°F) with a mild detergent for two minutes, followed by a warm, fresh water rinse.

Is there a warranty on the SOLA Guardian and can I order spare parts?
While the SOLA Guardian is not covered by a specific warranty period due to there being such a wide variance in working and care conditions, all parts will be available as replacements at low cost for a minimum of one year from the date of purchase.
Should you experience an issue with your SOLA Guardian that you believe is due to manufacturing defects and not abuse or wear and tear, please contact

SOLA Shield
Is this a medically certified device?
The Sola Shield is not a medically certified device but can be fitted with Medical Viral filters.
Does this device have an N95 or FFP1/FFP2 rating?
The Sola Shield does not have a rating at this stage. Furthermore, as the Shield ships with no filter in place, the eventual protection the mask offers will also be dependent on the specific medical filter selected by the user.
Does the mask come in different sizes?
The Sola Shield is ‘one-size-fits-most’ and is suitable for most adults.
Does the mask use FDA approved materials?
Yes, the materials used for the skirt, frame and lens are FDA approved.
How do you wash the mask?
You can wash it in hot water (40°C to 50°C / 104°F to 122°F) with a mild detergent for two minutes, followed by a warm, fresh water rinse.
For disinfecting in medical environments, the following guidelines are based on Appendix B-2 of the US Dept. of Labor – Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Respirator Cleaning Procedures.

- Remove filters and other external fittings.
- Wash in warm (43°C / 110°F) water with mild detergent.
- Rinse in warm, preferably running water, drain.
- Immerse in a warm (43°C / 110°F) Hypochlorite solution for two minutes (made by adding 1 ml of bleach to 1 liter of water).
- Rinse thoroughly in warm, preferably running water, drain.

So the mask is reusable? How many times can I reuse it?
The Sola Nautilus is made using high quality polymers and elastomers that should provide years of service if cared for properly. Only the filter pad need to be replaced on a daily basis.
Is this a medically certified device?
The Sola Nautilus is not medically certified at this time.
Does this device have an N95 or FFP1/FFP2 rating?
The Sola Nautilus does not have a rating at this stage, we are working towards that.

The SOLA Nautilus started shipping in May 2020, however it has since been discontinued and limited quantities are available.

What colours do the masks come in?
The soft skirt is available in either black or grey while the filter casings are available in Black, White, Blue, Pink and Turquoise.
What can be used as filter material in the SOLA Nautilus?
There are many possible options for filters for the Sola Nautilus, each with differing levels of cost, availability and efficacy.
What are the CERTIFIED FILTER options?
- FMP2: We are in the process of medical certification of our INEX RFT Nanofiber Filter pads.
- Medical Viral Filters: For medical teams that have access to certified viral filters using a standard 22mm connector, you can remove the Nautilus front cover and rings and pressfit the viral filter straight into the 22mm female port.
